Confidence & Basketball

by admin

My sister struggled during her move to a new school as a sophomore. Her saving grace was the school’s basketball team, which gave her instant friends, valuable life skills and eventually one of the highest GPAs in her class.

Ivory Latta, two-time WNBA All-Star from the Washington Mystics, started the Life Skills Basketball Academy, a one-day all-girls basketball camp, to help 9-18 year-old girls build confidence, character and drive. This year’s camp is April 25 at The Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy.
