Recently, in his first State of the City address, Mayor Andre Dickens spoke about several of his visions for Atlanta’s future, laying out plans for clean and green spaces as well as new public safety initiatives.

The “Green Cabinet” initiative will essentially be a Greenspace Advisory Council, consisting of 13 environmentally focused nonprofits. The goal is to assist government policy as it relates to the protection of Atlanta parks and natural spaces.

The Nightlife Division will focus on bars and clubs with a history of high crime, training owners and employees on administering first-aid, handling emergencies and de-escalating violent altercations.
