There’s more than one university in Georgia for aspiring engineers. But there’s a single option if they want to play college football for a top 10 team.
That’s why University of Georgia engineering professor David Gattie is part of the football recruiting process. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently examined the powerful combination of competitive academics and a winning football program.
Players say they want an education and playing time. Coaches and professors say students must be ready for the rigor. In-class and on-field success requires discipline and organization. Gattie says it pays off: “Our students graduate right into the workforce.”
