Lovability comes in the form of a fast-shifting dual-clutch transmission, agile handling and a handsome body. The Jetta, especially in its hotter GLI trim, zooms past the competition with sports sedan aspirations.
The Jetta’s spartan cabin and small, aging infotainment system will turn off some buyers. But those shopping for a new compact that enjoys reaching its own redline and devouring corners could do far worse than the Jetta.
