In 2015, Ford evolved its pony car with independent rear suspension, a chrome-laden interior and three ample engine options led by a brutal, 435-horsepower V8.
But the new V8 ‘Stang still wasn’t worthy of the Shelby name, so they packed a bigger 5.2L V8 into the hood to make the Shelby GT350. Then they made a better version by shedding all non-essentials (like A/C) and mounting carbon fiber wheels. Enter the Shelby GT350R, Ford’s foaming-at-the-mouth unicorn.
Laps around Atlanta Motorsports Park proved the GT350R a rolling dichotomy: snarling muscle with unbelievable agility.
