I recently received my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. As an event person, the process was incredibly well-executed on-site in North Georgia.
I met Lorraine, the nurse who would administer my vaccine and told her we were about to have a moment together — sharing that I would remember her for the rest of my life. She agreed. Without skipping a beat, she made light, saying she hoped she didn’t mess things up, hit the bone, and our moment change. We laughed.
Needless to say, she didn’t mess up, but I still cried, overwhelmed thinking about how far we’ve come.
