Hygge for Happiness

by

According to the UN World Happiness Report, Denmark is the happiest country in the world. Danes place high value on social connectedness, humility and health; but how do they stay chipper when winter comes?

Their secret is hygge (pronounced “hoo-gah”). Think of it as the feng shui of coziness: wool socks, warm drinks, candles and blankets are all hygge staples for combatting winter woes and improving wellbeing and connectedness.

Try hygge at home tonight by snuggling with a partner before a fire, sipping tea or cocoa as you discuss your day. Use cold weather as a chance to reconnect.
