The barre workout trend has exploded in recent years, and I’m totally hooked. After visiting many different studios around Atlanta, I’ve chosen my three favorites.
Pink Barre is the most traditional class with isometric strengthening and ballet elements. barre3 is more yoga and pilates-focused, with longer periods of one exercise. Flybarre is the toughest – you’ll leave sweating and sore.
Barre allows you to do what works for your body as you’re often given options to make it harder or easier. Absolutely no dance background is required, so I encourage everyone to give barre a try and “embrace the shake.”
