In less time than it takes us to get across town we were driving up the tree-lined entrance of Foxhall Resort, an idyllic 1100-acre resort in Douglasville. We settled into our gorgeous lakeside villa and headed out to explore the miles of trails that meander through fields, rolling countryside and along the Chattahoochee River.
This former equestrian retreat turned luxury resort has plenty of activities including ATV rides, sporting clays, hunting, tennis and horseback riding. You can kayak, fish, canoe or paddle board on one of the 16 lakes.
