We clung to the railing, our adrenaline levels rising as we approached the roaring falls during the 20-minute Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour, the powerful mists only partially held off by our ponchos. After visiting the attractions in Canadian Niagara Falls, we headed to Niagara-on the-Lake, a charming 19th-century village on the shores of Lake Ontario.
The area, around the same latitude as Northern Italy, has close to 100 wineries. We took a tour of Trius Winery, then dined in the elegant glass-walled restaurant overlooking the vineyards before making our way back to Toronto.
