We were heading to San Francisco for the weekend with no place to stay. While this does not faze my more carefree husband, I’m not the type to show up somewhere without a room for the night.
We checked the HotelTonight app and found Hotel Abri, a charming hotel near Union Square. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suite and given an amenity bag with waters, granola bar and a bottle of wine. All for $108 a night.
You can book up to seven days in advance, although some cities allow up to 100 days advance bookings.
