I made my own room key. After checking in on an iPad, I headed to our high-design, high-tech room in Public, a new Ian Schrager 367-room hotel on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
In addition to our spectacular view, my favorite features included the garden space, lobby workstations, food market and beautiful communal bar/work space flooded with natural light. What you won’t find? Room service, bellhops or turndown service.
The hotel has two Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurants, three bars, rooftop bar and Public Arts, a performance arts space in the basement. Rooms start at $150.
Please visit here to see why I may not be hip enough for this hotel.
