Those spirited flight attendants will have to add some clever commentary about customs now that the nation’s biggest domestic carrier has announced it is heading to the Caribbean for its first international flights.
Starting July 1, Southwest Airlines will fly daily nonstop from Atlanta to Aruba and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Additional flights will originate in Baltimore and Orlando. Fill those suitcases with flip-flops, swimsuits and all the suntan lotion you want because you still get two checked bags for free.
For information on what to do when you get there, check out the official tourism sites at www.aruba.com and www.visitjamaica.com.
