Pandas set to return to Zoo Atlanta

by The 100 Companies

After nearly two years without its most iconic residents, Zoo Atlanta is preparing to welcome giant pandas back as part of a new international conservation agreement with China.

The zoo will receive two pandas, male Ping Ping and female Fu Shuang, born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Their arrival marks a renewed 10-year partnership focused on research and species preservation. The previous pandas departed in 2024, ending a 25-year program that produced seven cubs.

While an exact arrival date has not been announced, the return is expected to restore one of the zoo’s most popular attractions.
