Recently, I’ve had many difficult conversations – more than I’d like. After each, I’ve had the same questions. What happened to professional accountability and personal responsibility? Where are respect, ownership, empathy and common decency? When did one’s word begin to not mean anything? When did it become the wild wild west?
I understand we’ve had the Great Resignation and employees are harder to come by. I understand service providers are stretched and struggling to meet needs. I understand friends, family, significant others and colleagues are dealing with things we can’t see.
Does that really give the green light for bad behavior?
