Finding light in the dark

I am struck this holiday season. My social feeds are flooded with trees decorated to the hilt and outdoor lights that could make Clark Griswald jealous. Many come from friends, colleagues and relatives who haven’t put up decorations or trees in years.

I definitely don’t want to romanticize the moment because of the COVID path of destruction we’ve experienced. However, the feeling I get when driving through my little neighborhood and seeing all the lights feels like a beacon of hope in this time of darkness.

Hopefully, it will enable us to come together and all find our way through!
