International Women’s Day: Empowerment for all

by The 100 Companies

Founded over a century ago in 1911, International Women’s Day was started to globally celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.

World-renowned feminist, journalist and activist Gloria Steinem explained, “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist or to any one organization, but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.”

On March 8, from concerts and conferences to festivals and more, people will gather to participate in events around the world supporting a gender-balanced world and working to build innovation for change. Support an event near you.
