Completed Eastside Trail offers more space to run, walk and bike

The first section of the Eastside Trail opened to the public nearly seven years ago, giving pedestrians walking, skating and biking access from Irwin Street to Monroe Drive.

The BeltLine has since come a long way, and the completion of the Eastside Trail’s final section now gives pedestrians the ability to walk from places like Atlanta Dairies on Memorial Drive all the way to Piedmont Park.

There’s still a bit more to be done before the trail is officially deemed complete, but with regular progress being made, Atlantans are quickly gaining non-motorized access to neighborhoods all over the city.
