Summertime brings days spent outdoors in beautiful weather, but it also brings days where there are thunderstorms, heavy rain, severe weather and risk of flooding.
Thankfully, steps can be taken to prepare for any kind of potentially dangerous weather. Some top tips from Georgia’s Red Cross include:
• Turn around, so you don’t drown. Be safe by staying off the roads.
• Prepare an emergency kit for your home.
• Know an evacuation and disaster plan.
• Stay informed by listening to local media or NOAA Weather Radio stations.
