I’ve lived in Kirkwood for nearly 16 years in an adorable 1929 bungalow that sits on one of the best streets in the neighborhood.
Demand to be in the area has substantially increased in recent years, with home prices tripling over the past three years and homes being renovated or rebuilt at a crazy pace. Watching neighbors cash out again and again, I’ve pondered selling. But we all joke that once you get out it is too expensive to buy back in.
The truth is I’m not ready to leave. The best is yet to come, so I’m renovating instead.
