Do you have a passion for Atlanta history or the environment? If you believe preserving the city’s beauty and history is important, maybe leading a walking tour and educating others is just for you.
Now through March 9, Trees Atlanta will hold a free Docent Training Program each Saturday. Participants will receive extensive training in skills such as tree identification, forest ecology, interpretive tour leadership and public speaking.
Once trained, guides will lead groups in exploring the Atlanta BeltLine, the surrounding unique neighborhoods and hidden pockets of Atlanta’s diverse urban forest. Knowledge of horticulture, botany or gardening is not required.
