Wow, wow, wow! A huge congrats to the Atlanta United on their 2018 MLS Cup win this weekend – and the city’s first major championship since the Braves’ World Series win in 1995.
Atlanta has long been a city that rarely commits fully to sports teams, until now. It’s been amazing to watch how a soccer team, with a very fitting name, has united Atlanta by drawing record crowds throughout the season and bringing people together.
From team banners on homes to extreme tailgating, the local fans are not only obsessed, they can’t get enough of this team and its culture.
