Woodland Spirits appear in Fernbank Forest

by Michael Polzella

Ghostly figures linger in the shadows to surprise wanderers at the Woodland Spirits experience, an outdoor exhibit in Fernbank Forest at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.

Evoking the spookiness of the season, Woodland Spirits offers clues about those mysterious visitors, who can be spotted tucked away in the trees, on the horizon or waiting around the corner. The outdoor installation was brought to life by Laura Lewis, an Atlanta artist specializing in sculpture and painting.

The spirits are on view through Nov. 11 from 10AM-5PM. Admission is $20 for adults, $18 for kids and no charge for members.
