Cover up for Good

Songa Designs’ goal is to empower Rwandan women by giving them jobs making hand-crafted items. Its newest product is the Unity Sarong, which is dyed and tasseled by hand.

My favorite thing about this sarong is its cow horn buckle, which you can use to wear the sarong in different ways as a swimsuit cover-up, skirt and even a dress. I throw mine in my suitcase and use it as blanket or even a tablecloth.

The sarongs come in size small (72-by-36 inches) and large (72-by-48 inches) and in fuchsia and cobalt for $38.
