Emory’s Schwartz Center an Atlanta Gem

by

Bach recitals, jazz combos, poetry readings, lectures and dance concerts are just a few of the upcoming events at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts at Emory University.

I visited the center for the first time for a free Big Band concert, part of the annual Emory Jazz Fest. We enjoyed swing music by The Gary Motley Trio and the Emory Big Band.

In addition to the 800-seat Emerson Concert Hall, the center includes a 125-seat dance studio, 135-seat Theater Lab and Chace Gallery with rotating exhibits from Emory staff, alumni and members of the Emory community.
