Small Connection Brings Big Comfort

As hard as it is for me to believe, my oldest daughter recently started high school.

I looked forward to orientation and meeting the newly hired principal. I’d heard a lot of great things about him through a mutual friend and colleague. An ex-military man, he stands tall and tough in front of his students. His “no funny business” attitude is exactly what you want leading your kid through high school.

Having this small connection to a man I’d never met before has made letting my firstborn go to start this next chapter in her life a little easier.
