MARTA pop-up farmers markets add nonperishable options

Community Farmers Markets, the nonprofit behind some of Atlanta’s popular farmers markets, has partnered with Urban Recipe, a local food cooperative, to offer free shelf-stable items to customers at weekly MARTA market locations this winter.

Since 2015, Community Farmers Markets has partnered with MARTA to host Fresh MARTA Market pop-ups at select stations, offering fresh produce for sale to commuters. The new partnership will allow commuters to select additional complimentary non-perishable items including rice, oats, pasta and canned foods.

Fresh MARTA Markets can be found at the West End, Five Points, Bankhead, College Park and H.E. Holmes MARTA stations.
