Atlanta welcomes Asian street food to the scene

Opened this week in StudioPlex Alley along the Eastside BeltLine, Hawkers Asian Street Fare joins the already-sprawling Atlanta food scene.

Inspired by “hawkers,” a.k.a. Asian street food stalls, the Florida-based restaurant offers a small plate-centric menu featuring authentic family recipes passed down from generations. Boasting an energetic atmosphere, eaters are transported from Old Fourth Ward to the streets of Asia.

Must-trys include roast duck steamed bao, wok-fired lettuce, coconut shrimp, roast duck and five-spice green beans. Top off selections with a “that’s my bag, baby” cocktail or Malaysian mule, and you’re set.
