Irby’s Tavern open, pays homage to Buckhead’s beginnings

by

Irby’s Tavern pays tribute to the founder of Buckhead. Henry Irby hung a buck’s head in his tavern, which was just down the street from this new upscale sports bar.

Irby’s has its own buck’s head, along with a great deck, 22 TVs and affordably priced fare that includes chicken and waffle sliders, charred octopus, salads, burgers, and entrees like pan-fried pork chop and shrimp and grit cake. There are vegetarian options and a kid’s menu as well.

Chris loved the bar and plans to hang there with his buddies. Much like the men back in the old days.
