Dining at a forgotten favorite, Endive

Although we have about 287 restaurants within two miles of our house, we suffer brain block when deciding where to go. Recently my husband remembered Endive Publik House, a cozy restaurant that’s only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for dinner.

We ordered off the small plates, sushi and sides menu, choosing the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese, California roll, apple cider-braised greens and mini twice-baked creamer potatoes. Being the staunch patriots we are, in celebration of National Fried Chicken Day, we ordered the delicious fried chicken tenders with shoestring fries. Who knew patriotism could taste so yummy?
