My children were small, my workload was large, surpassed only by my stress level at the thought of cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Then I heard Murphy’s had a to-go dinner. Brushing aside guilty feelings, I made the call the next morning. Instantly my stress level dropped.
I asked my daughter if she cared I didn’t make everything. “Mommy, that doesn’t matter. What matters is we all sit down together to enjoy the holiday.”
That was years ago, and we’ve continued the tradition of serving Murphy’s every year. The food is delicious and I always remember Murphy’s when counting my blessings.
To-go dinners are still available.
