This week’s best buzz comes from Empire State South.
The “Two World Hero” cocktail is named after Marquis de Lafayette, the French military officer known as a “two world hero” after fighting in both the American and French revolutions. The recipe is also inspired by history – incorporating American and French ingredients, as well as black tea – a nod to the Boston Tea Party.
To recreate it at home:
1 oz Black Tea-Infused Pierre Ferrand 1840 Cognac
.75 oz rye whiskey
.75 oz Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
.25 oz red wine syrup
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 sprig of mint
