JP Atlanta Opens Downtown

by

Fifty years after he opened The Midnight Sun restaurant in Peachtree Center, visionary and renowned architect John Portman has opened another restaurant downtown — JP Atlanta.

Puerto Rican native Julio Delgado, formerly of Château Élan Winery & Resort and The Ritz-Carlton, is executive chef. JP Atlanta will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night service at the bar.

The restaurant is housed in a mixed-use redevelopment project that includes office space and the new 206-room Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown. The development connects to AmericasMart Atlanta, a giant permanent wholesale trade center, which John Portman designed and still owns.
