Moviemakers and movie lovers will tune in Sunday night to see who takes home a golden Oscar during the 2023 Academy Awards.
Atlanta-filmed “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is nominated for best visual effects, makeup and hairstyling, costume design and more. Actor Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”) is nominated for his supporting role in “Causeway.”
The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) also announced that over 150 alumni contributed to 18 films nominated this year, including best picture nominee “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” in a variety of categories.
SCAD alumni also worked on all five best animated feature film nominees.
