The skies above Lake Lanier will fill with color during Lanier Islands Resort’s first-ever Hot Air Balloon Festival taking place Sept. 18-19. The festival will feature dozens of balloons taking flight, as well as tethered balloon rides, live music, craft and food vendors, and family-friendly activities in the Kids’ Zone.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival will be open each day from 5-10PM, culminating around 9PM with glowing balloons, coordinated balloon burns and a laser light show set to music. Tickets are available online. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local special needs initiatives and the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
