Don’t tell bubbe, but her brisket doesn’t come close to the smoked goodness at the Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival. Now in its sixth year, the event will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, 11AM-3:30PM, at City Springs in Sandy Springs.
The festival features kosher food vendors, live music and a kids area. The highlight is the kosher barbecue competition where contestants will be judged in categories for brisket, ribs, chicken and chili.
The event costs nothing to attend, though festivalgoers can buy tastings for $1 per ticket. Proceeds will benefit six local nonprofits, including the Jewish Educational Loan Fund.
