Final two shows of ‘Dead Man Walking’

by

Based on the true story that spawned a best-selling book and an Academy Award-winning movie, Jake Heggie’s “Dead Man Walking” at the Atlanta Opera takes the audience through Sister Helen Prejean’s time as spiritual advisor to convicted murderer Joseph de Rocher.

Starring mezzo-soprano and Georgia native Jamie Barton, the highly anticipated performance challenges viewers to think deeply about capital punishment, as well as the ability to forgive the unforgivable.

The final two shows will be held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Feb. 8 at 8PM and Feb. 10 at 3PM. Tickets begin at $55.
