It’s no secret Georgia has long been home to some of pop culture’s most talented artists. And if this year’s Grammy nominations are an indicator of how local musical talent is currently holding up, it’s obvious they are taking strides to dominate the industry.
“Atlanta” creator/actor Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) leads the way with Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best R&B Song nominations. The ATL-based sister duo Chloe x Halle is nominated for Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album. Additional Georgia-based nominees include Janelle Monae, Cardi B and Future.
