In the early 1970s, Greg Picciano had no idea a turntable and a stack of 45s would lead to a successful career as DJ. Four decades later, he is still playing hits several nights a week at the infamous bar, Johnny’s Hideaway.
Starting out as a music director and mid-day personality at WSB AM 750 in 1981, Picciano began his enduring music career in Atlanta. Throughout the years, he has interviewed a wide range of celebrities from Tony Bennett to Barry Manilow and has sung alongside Atlanta’s Michael O’Neal Singers.
According to Picciano, “Thursday night is the new Friday.”
