In celebration of Beatrix Potter’s 150th birthday, the Center for Puppetry Arts will present Seattle’s Thistle Theatre’s Tales of Peter Rabbit this month, from September 14-25.
On September 18 at 1PM, the Center will hold a special sensory-friendly performance as part of its Autism Spectrum Disorder initiative. Dimmed lights, lowered sound and a trained staff will provide a safe and enjoyable environment for guests with ASD.
The same day, the Center’s museum exhibits and the Create-A-Puppet Workshop – where children can make and decorate their own Peter Rabbit rod puppet – will also be made ASD-friendly.
