If you visit the Woodruff Arts Center in the coming months, your head might start spinning around looking at the High Museum’s newest exhibition.
Tomorrow, April 24, the museum will unveil its second large-scale, interactive design installation on the Woodruff Arts Center’s Carroll Slater Sifly Piazza from Mexican designers Héctor Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena. On view through November 29, 2015, “Los Trompos,” (Spinning Tops) draws inspiration from the popular children’s toy.
The project features over 30 three-dimensional large, moveable tops in a variety of colors and shapes. The colorful surfaces are created from fabric woven in a traditional Mexican style.
