“If it weren’t for painting I could not live. I couldn’t bear the strain of things.” – Winston Churchill
When Churchill was in his darkest hour, his hobby of painting allowed him to develop his thoughts on the rising threat of Hitler and the Nazis. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Churchill’s death, more than 30 of Churchill’s paintings will go on exhibit in Georgia– including at Atlanta’s Millennium Gate Museum through Feb. 1.
The Art of Diplomacy Atlanta stop, which opened Oct. 3, exclusively features paintings that have never before been shown in public. For more information, visit churchill-atlanta.
