This week, MARTA announced it would be treating riders waiting for the train to live jazz music on Mondays throughout the month of May.
“Jazz Mondays” started this week at the Decatur station from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and will be held next week at Doraville station, followed by College Park station and will end May 19 at the Midtown station. For the full schedule of musicians, view www.itsmarta.com/marta-jazz-mondays.aspx.
The free, two-hour concert series is part of 31 Days of Jazz, a countdown to the 2014 Atlanta Jazz Festival, one of the country’s largest free jazz festivals, at Piedmont Park May 23-25.
