Universal Technical Institute to open first Georgia campus

by katem

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) plans to open its first Georgia campus on Highlands Parkway in Smyrna. The 117,000-square-foot facility is expected to serve up to 1,500 students and offer training programs in automotive, diesel, aviation, robotics, and automation. Additional programs include electrical, HVACR and welding, with advanced classrooms and specialized labs supporting hands-on technical education and career preparation.

Company officials say the campus will support workforce development efforts in metro Atlanta and help address demand for skilled trade workers across multiple industries. Regional employers, including CarMax, Cox, Klein Tools, and NAPA, are expected to benefit from the expanded training opportunities.
