Atlanta sees an increase in ghost kitchens

by The 100 Companies

Have you noticed a slew of new restaurants you’ve never seen or heard of before while recently scrolling through your favorite delivery app? That is likely due to the rise in ghost kitchens — communal kitchens where chefs prepare meals for delivery only, completely cutting the overhead costs of owning and operating a dine-in restaurant.

While the concept isn’t new, ghost kitchens have been on the rise in Atlanta over the last year thanks to the pandemic and a massive spike in delivery orders and at-home dining. Some highlights include Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen, Fazoli’s, MattChews, Chicken Out and Scotch Yard
