I wasn’t exactly surprised when Sweetwater announced they were producing a new line of brews intended to mimic the olfactory experience of opening a bag of marijuana. So when I was invited to an exclusive industry tasting recently, I was curious and couldn’t say no.
We got to try the 420 Strain: G13 IPA, first in the line to be produced. A strong marijuana odor hung in the air, but the aroma stopped as soon as the beer hit our lips. We were then greeted by a phenomenally delicious, drinkable beer that was nice and soft, with a clean finish.
