Atlanta is rich in history, from people to events, and more. Recently, we’ve highlighted several historic buildings and I’ve enjoyed getting to know the city better through this unique lens.
Unfortunately, many of Atlanta’s structures that should be preserved are in danger of demolition due to their poor condition after insufficient maintenance or neglect, alterations, redevelopment pressures, governmental policies and regulations, or lack of funds.
The Atlanta Preservation Center is dedicated to bringing attention to these sites and helping however possible. Online, 50+ buildings that are endangered have been listed. Take a look, maybe you’re part of the solution needed.
