I should’ve known better than to take restaurant owner and grade-school buddy Tom Murphy to the opening of a new restaurant on the Westside: PS 404. It was just like school: I had to fight for every bite.
At the gastropub concept that originated in California now open inside The Brady, Tom and I were amazed at our first bite of calamari (best ever outside Murphy’s, of course) and salmon. Both were perfectly grilled: crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
A rotating local draft beer selection beckons us back for weekday “recess,” from 3-6 pm.
