We liked it before we even walked in. Rize Artisan Pizza wraps around a corner in Virginia-Highland with a huge, inviting patio and glass walls.
Inside we were met with warm, friendly servers and a menu that includes salads, small plates, flatbreads and a few pasta dishes. (Sandwiches and soups are available at lunch.) We started with the chicken wings with ginger honey sauce and a steak and smoked bleu cheese wedges salad.
Next onto the main attraction: those delicious pizzas made with dough that’s risen for 48 hours, then opened by hand and finished off with olive oil.
