Ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the Atlanta BeltLine’s new Westside Trail are officially scheduled for September 29, yet celebrations are already taking place.
Astra Group, which has built all BeltLine segments within the 22-mile corridor, hosted a “final pour” celebration commemorating the final installation of concrete on the three-mile Westside segment. The celebration at Lean Brew House brought together Astra and community leaders, who thanked all the construction workers for their hard work.
In addition to concrete, Astra installed a half-mile of custom metal rails along entranceways and 80,000 square feet of granite veneer on trailside walls.
